These settings live in the user menu, not any of the three perspectives, because they're about you as a person using the product rather than about your record.

Profile

Your name, how you'd like to be addressed (a nickname distinct from your legal name, if you want one), your work email, and your time zone, which defaults to the workspace's unless you set your own. If you signed in through Google or another provider, your email is managed there and shown read-only here.

Employees also see their current level and track on this page, and who set it — read-only, since only your manager assigns it. It's a quick reference, with a link straight through to your full record.

Sign-in & security

Password (or "managed by Google," if that's how you signed in), two-factor authentication, passkeys, and your active sessions. Ordinary account security — nothing here is specific to Growth Record.

Appearance

Light, dark, or match your system. This lives in your browser rather than your account, so it can differ between the laptop at your desk and the one you carry around. It's a display preference, not something that follows you.

Notifications

Some review-related emails always arrive: you'll always hear about your reviews, your manager, and changes to your level. What you can turn off here are the softer nudges:

  • Self-assessment reminders — up to three as a conversation gets close, stopping the moment you submit.
  • Evidence nudges — a reminder when nothing's been logged on your record for a while you choose. Never sent while a review is open.
  • Team changes — notified when an admin moves you to a different team. Doesn't affect who can read your record.

Managers get three more, scoped to their direct reports only:

  • Quiet records — one email naming any reports whose records have gone quiet for longer than you choose, skipping anyone with a review open.
  • Your side of a review — up to three as a conversation gets close, while your own assessment of a report is still open. They stop the moment you submit.
  • Plan target dates — a heads-up two weeks before a report's plan reaches its target date.

Every toggle saves itself the moment you change it. There's no separate save button.
